What you see
The fruit in the photo is still unripe, flower buds around it means more fruit will grow. The ripe Kamias will turn light green (to almost white) in color. The best time to use this fruit is when it is green in color and a little plump.

This fruit when eaten to almost ripe is crisp and when ripe is soft to bite

You can smell a slight fragrance and sourness of the fruit at this early stage

All Kamias fruit will give you a very juicy sour taste when ripe and a little bitter when unripe and has a flat seed inside which is edible as well.

It is smooth to touch
